If you're trying to rebuild ISOs this way I'd suggest ultraISO, I tried a bunch of different tools in windows and in linux and the trial of ultraISO was by far the one I had the best luck with of any of the free offerings, it was also far easier than a number of the other tools' less reliable or more expensive methods. I say aid because the menu files aren't too difficult to mess with, so I generally make myself menus that get me right to the tools I build various disks to do. It's still the best tool I've found to aid in building multiboot USBs or ISOs. Once it's installed without the crapware it's perfectly fine, in fact it's got more choices supported in the newer versions than the old had (which is a little unfortunate or we could just use the old one and do an end run on the whole crapware issue).
